Magnolia Tree

Magnolia tree
with waxy leaves -
the perfectly cool canopy,
Shade me please
from stifling heat -
your fragrance sweet -
the quiet seat
upon the ground
and not a sound
til’ summer storms
and raindrops form,
hitting the leaves
of the magnolia tree.
